Wizów CHP plant
CHP plant with nominal electric power of 4.4 MWe and heat power of 42 MWt supplies energy to Zakłady Chemiczne "Wizów" S.A. based on a 20-year contract for electricity and heat supply. The investment included construction of a “turnkey” CHP plant with associated infrastructure (gas pipeline and connections).
We started design works back in July 1997; the contract for electricity supply was signed in July 1998, and the contract for the construction of a CHP plant was signed in September 1998. Construction works were launched in November 1998, and the facility was put into operation in 1999. Electric power is generated by a gas turbo-generator with the nominal capacity of 4.4 MWe. Heat in steam of absolute pressure of 0.7 MPa and temperature of 170oC is generated by a heat recovery boiler with the capacity of 10.5 Mg/h and two gas and oil boilers with the capacity of 16 Mg/h of steam each. The system also includes a turbine bypass system, water treatment system, system operation and control elements, and electrical connections. Turbo-generator and boilers are installed in the area of 1200 square meters.
The investment was partially financed by the EKOFUNDUSZ Foundation.
