Mercury CHP plant

On the premises of Zakłady Koksownicze Wałbrzych S.A., Polish Energy Partners S. A. (with a local partner) is building a power unit, including a gas-fired boiler and steam turbine with the capacity of over 8 MW. The unit will generate electricity from coke gas, currently burned and released into the atmosphere without any further use. As a result, PEP S.A. protects the environment and supplies cheap electricity to its partner. This is yet another example of an effective combination of environmental protection and direct economic benefits.

The construction is to be completed in June 2006.
