Jeziorna CHP plant

Operation of the coal-fired CHP plant with the heat power of 95 MWt and electric power of 6 MWe in Konstancin-Jeziorna near Warsaw is based on an outsourcing project – energy facilities are separated from the company and taken over by a specialist company. Paper manufacturer Zakłady Papiernicze Metsa Tissue, with its own in-house energy production source, decided to focus on its core business. After reorganisation of the enterprise, an independent energy producer, PEP S.A., was contracted to provide energy supply service. The transaction was completed within just one year (from the preliminary offer to the take-over of Jeziorna CHP plant).

PEP S.A. operates the Jeziorna CHP plant and supplies heat to its main customer – Metsa Tissue S.A., to other customers representing the paper industry, located on premises of the former paper manufacturing plant Warszawskie Zakłady Papiernicze (Top 2000, Ecotex, Konstans), as well as to the town of Konstancin-Jeziorna. Electricity produced in the plant is supplied to local customers, formerly supplied by the WZP network.
